Advantages of a Rapid Response Units

Economical Solution

With transferable fiberglass bodies that fit any domestic pick-up bed, custom interior configurations upfitted with advance capability, and a plug-and-play design with a uniquely engineered wiring harness housing all components mounted inside the cap, RRUs offer an advanced economical solution to today’s high vehicle operating costs. Our customers tell us because of the transferability of our units they have a lower cost of ownership & better response times while increasing the versatility of their fleet.

Tranferable Bodies

Made to be transferred from truck to truck no need to replace the cap whenever you replace the truck. The expected lifespan of the RRU body is 15 to 25 years, exceeding the life of 2, sometimes 3 pickup trucks, making ESI Rapid Response Units your solution to reducing operating costs.

Enhanced Capabilities

ESI Rapid Response Units are purpose-built to reduce your operating costs while increasing the versatility of your fleet. Fully Enclosed to ensure maximum protection from the elements, made with lightweight fiberglass to maximize fuel efficiency, available cutting edge automation - featuring power rear slide-outs, controlled decent side slide-outs, and a sophisticated roof actuator- and so much more.

Plug and Play

All wiring (Lighting, Radios, Monitors, HVAC Units, etc.) are neatly contained in our custom built PDC boards (Power Distribution Center) mounted inside the body allowing the bodies to transfer with ease. The PDC board is connected to the truck with one single wiring harness, giving you the ability to simply "unplug" the Cap and transfer it to the next one, quickly and easily.

What Our Customers Are Saying
Communications Unit
“In 2018 and 2019, my department embarked on a project that would meet the communication needs of complex and evolving incidents. Something that was able to respond quicker than a larger piece of apparatus we already owned and on a much smaller scale. When we found ESI Equipment, we quickly realized they would be able to accomplish this type of project and more. Our sales representative, Tom Erwine, was always willing to accommodate our evolving needs and happy to offer solutions from some of their past builds. The end product far surpassed our initial goals and expectations.”
